His full name is Ajit Laxman Wadekar.Mr.Wadekar was born on 1.41941 in Bombay Maharashtra.He is left hand batsman. Normally played in third position. He played 37 matches between 1966 to 74.He became one of the Indian Captains in 1971.He became a successful captain to win series victory against England and West Indies.Later He was the manager in the Indian Team in 1990 for Mr.Azhar.

He was the First One Day International Captain.

His full name is Chandrakant Gulabrao.He was born on 21 July 1934 in Poona Maharashtra.He was member Indian cricket team from 1958 to 1970.After retirement from cricket he was Chairman of National selectors(1984 to 86/1999 to 2002) .He is Right hand batsman and right arm leg break bowler.He was the manager for India's tour to Pakistan in 1989,again he was Manager for Tours to Ireland and England in 2007.
He was a Pitch Curator in 1984 for Nehru Stadium in Poona.
He got the following awards.
1.Arjuna Award in 1966.
2.Padma Shri in 1969.
3.Padma Bhusan in 2002.
4.Mr.C.K.Nayudu award in 2006 for lifetime achievement.

Mr.Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi,One of The Indian Test Match Captains.

He was also called by Mr.M.A.K.Pataudi and Nawab of Pataudi Jr.. He was born on 5 Jan 1941in Bhopal Madhiya Pradesh .He was the 9 th and Last Nawab of Pataudi till 1971 when the Indian Govt abolished Royal entitlement.He was right hand batsman and right arm medium pace bowler.He was started his carrier at the age of 20 and played 46 test matches from 1961/75.He was one of the IndianCaptains .He was elected as captain in the year 1962.He played as captain for 40 matches .He won only 9 matches.
He married a famous film star Sharmila Tagore.They have one Bollywood Actor Mr.Saif Ali Khan , one Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan and one Saba Ali Khan as Jewelery Designer.
He was awarded Arjuna award in 1964. and Padma Shri in 1967.

His full name is Nariman Jamshedji Contractor.Mr.Nari Contractor was born on 7 March 1934 at Ghodra Gujrat.Mr.Contractor was left hand opening batsman.Due to injury he carrier was disturbed.He was one of the Indian Captains during 1959/60 & 1961/62.He led Indian team in 1961/62 to England ,Pakistan & West Indies & series win against England.He was right arm medium bowler.He was serious injury on his skull and was unconscious for more than 6 days.due this injury he was dropped from the team for International matches.He was captain for 12 matches 2matches won,2 last 8 drawn.He is live & coaching cricket club of India Academy at Mumbai.

He was born on 31 May 1928.Mr.Roy was right hand opening batsman.He made a record of 413 runs opening partnership with Mr.Vinoo Mankad against New Zealand at Chennai.This was record stood till 2008.

Mr.PankalRoy was honoured by Padma Shri award.His son was also played Test cricket.

Mr.PankalRoy was made as captain in a test match in England in 1959.India lost the match.He was one of the Indian Captains.

Mr.Gaekwad was born on 27 Oct 1928 at Vadodara in India. His full name is Dattajirao Krishnarao Gaekwad. Mr.Gaekwad was one of cricketer toured England in 1952 & 59.West Indies 1952-53.He participated in 11 matches.Mr.Gaekwad become one of the Indian Captains in 1959 tour.

He was right hand batsman and occasional leg spin bowler.He was in the test match from 1952 to 1961.He was a middle order batsman. He made his highest score 52 in test against West Indies at New Delhi in 1959.He made 249* score in Ranji Trophy against Maharastra in 1959-60.He was the pillar of strength to Baroda in Ranji Trophy.He played from 1947 to 1961.

Mr.Hemu Adhikari full name is Colonel Hemchandra Ramachandra Adhikari born on 31 July 1919 at Pune Maharashtra.In span of 30 years as Indian Cricketer He played in Indian team as well as coach for the cricketer.Mr.Adhikari was right hand batsman as well right hand leg spinner bowler occationally.Mr.Adhikari made some fine movement in cricket carrier playing for India for a national record of 109 runs for last wicket partnership with Mr.Ghulam Ahmed in a test against Pakistan.He was one of Indian Captains at the age of 40 led the team against West Indies and match was drawn .Mr.Adhikari was scored 63 & 40 runs in batting and taken 3 important wickets.Since he was a military officer his carrier was disturbed due to war.Mr.Adhikari developed very good gem of outstanding cricketer like Mr.Sunil Gavaskar, Mr.Kapil Dev & Mr.Ravi Shastri after his retirement in cricket carrier.

Umrigar was born on 28 th March 1926 at Solapur, Maharashtra,

India

Umrigar played cricket as well as played foot ball & hockey.

Umrigar made 115* not out for combined universities toured West Indian in 1948.This gave him opening in the national attention. Umrigar only made 113 runs against

England

for the last 4 test match and he was dropped in the 5 th test. Unfortunately Mr.Hemu Adhikari was injured and Umrigar got a chance in 7 positions. Umrigar was once again proved that his capability and made 130* not out and India won their first test match against England.Umrigar was the First person to score double century (223) against New Zealand at Hyderabad in 1955-56.

Umrigar was made one of the Indian captains for unofficial test match against commonwealth XI in 1953-54.for matches & won in one match. During his captainship from 1956-59 three years he won continuously for eight test matches.

Umrigar occasionally bowled medium pace and started bowling at Bahawalpur in 19954-55.His carrier best was 6 for 74 against

Pakistan

In 1970 Umrigar was the touring Manager for Indian side to

New Zealand

Australia

, and West Indies. Umrigar was the Chairman of National Selection Committee from 1978 to 82.

Umrigar total score of 3631 test runs ; 12 century were the India‘s best till Mr.Gavaskar break the record in late 1970.

He was Executive Secretary of BCCI & Secretary of Mumbai Cricket Association.

Umrigar was awarded Padma Shri award in 1962.& C.K.Nayudu Trophy in 1998-99.

Under 15 championship is awarded in his name Polly Umrigar Trophy to honor his contribution to cricket.

Umrigar died in Mumbai on 7.11.2006.
