HIS FULL NAME IS NANIK AMARNATH BHARDWAJ.

HE WAS BORN ON 11 SEPT 1911 AT KAPURTHALA, PUNJAB.

HE WAS THE ONLY PERSON HIT FIRST CENTURY DURING THAT PERIOD & LED THE INDIAN TEAM AFTER INDEPENDENCE TO AUSTRALIA IN 1947-48.

HE WAS THE FIRST TEST MATCH CAPTAIN OF AFTER INDEPENDENCE.

HE WAS ALSO A GOOD BOWLER & DISMISSED THE GREAT BATSMAN OF AUSTRALIA MR.DONALD BRADMAN BY HIT WICKET.

DURING HIS CAPTAINSHIP INDIA WON THE PAKISTAN FOR THE FIRST TIME AND MADE HISTORY IN 1952 AT DELHI.

TOTAL PLAYED 15 TEST MATCHES 2 WON,6 LOST,7 DRAWN.THE 2 MATCHES WON WERE AGAINST PAKISTAN.

HIS SONS MR.MOHINDER & MR.SURINDER WERE PLAYED IN INDIAN CRICKET.He was one of the Indian Captains.

HE DIED ON 5.08.2000.
